Movement!!

As essential as proper nutrition is, the inclusion of the right movement for your body is just as important for achieving deep health and wellness, and ultimately lines you up to the path of longevity. I’ve been through so many phases of what I thought was movement but turns out it was masquerading under the name “fitness”. When I finally learned the difference, with the support of my husband, my body composition, energy and strength elevated to new levels! I learned how to work with my body, supporting injuries and other surprises as they crept along, gaining considerable patience and understanding for the process of injury followed by recovery.

Always keeping an open mind, and a supportive partner at hand, we’ve both enjoyed experimenting with various types of workouts, and one too many bruises to count after a round with the freestanding heavy bag! It’s about keeping an open and curious mind, experimenting and exploring, and having the body learn new movement patterns and routines which in turn gives room for growth both physically and mentally.

I’m no fitness professional, I’m someone who’s tried and failed then tried and succeeded. I’ve spared no detail in my search for the right information and incorporated it as needed along the way, now making it publicly available….. so I encourage you to embark on finding YOUR movement!!

Fear and intimidation can dictate what types of fitness routines you are incorporating, I speak from personal experience when I say that I was definitely apprehensive to try kickboxing! Where then lay the benefits of overcoming this emotional hurdle? Breaking a pattern helps invigorate both the mind and body and learn a thing or two about self-defense….
